What is Kits 4 Care?+
We’re a new community initiative bringing New Yorkers together to fund, assemble, and deliver essential personal care kits in partnership with local shelters.
Where do you plan to operate?+
We’re launching in New York and seeking local shelter partners. Delivery areas and timing will be coordinated with each partner.
What goes into a care kit?+
Potential contents include oral hygiene supplies, soap, shampoo, deodorant, socks, tissues, requested menstrual products, and a handwritten note. Contents depend on partner needs and funding. No medications are included.
Can my shelter apply?+
Yes. New York shelters and community organizations can submit a partnership application. Applications are reviewed; applying does not automatically confirm a partnership.
Can groups volunteer together?+
Absolutely. Choose group signup on our volunteer form and tell us your approximate group size. Volunteers under 18 may need guardian consent or adult supervision.
Can I donate supplies?+
Acceptance depends on shelter needs and product restrictions. Please email contactkits4care@gmail.com before buying or dropping off any supplies.
How will donations be used?+
Donations help purchase requested essentials and support kit assembly and delivery. We’ll share confirmed campaign details as our first drive takes shape.
Are donations tax deductible?+
Our organization and tax-deductibility status will be shared once confirmed. We do not currently make a claim of tax deductibility.
